10 additional tobacco smoke-free areas designated in Bagan-NyaungU Ancient Cultural Zone

Ten more smoke-free areas have been reportedly designated in the Bagan-NyaungU Ancient Cultural Zone in NyaungU Township, Mandalay Region.
The chairman and members of the NyaungU Township Administration Body inspected the tobacco smoke-free signboards, smoking areas, and non-smoking areas in NyaungU Township on 29 May.
Ninety-two spots had been designated as tobacco smoke-free areas in the Bagan-NyaungU Ancient Cultural Zone before, but 10 more places have been designated currently. Thus, there are 102 tobacco smoke-free areas in Bagan Ancient Culture Zone.
The campaign groups raised smoke-free awareness for visitors and vehicles that came to the museum to study in June 2019, under the supervision of the NyaungU District General Administration Department and the Working Committee on the implementation of tobacco smoke-free zones in NyaungU Township. — TWA/CT
