10 Myanmar seamen kept under quarantine in Kawthoung hotel

Ten Myanmar seamen who signed off from the MT-MTM Colorado ship anchored in the Andaman Sea arrived in Kawthoung yesterday evening and are currently held under hotel quarantine. Captain U Aung Kyaw Thet and the other nine seamen who signed off the ship had swapped duties with Captain U Zawyar Lin and six seamen who will be signing on the ship docked early in Kawthoung.

The ship was transporting cargo from Russia and passed through Singapore and arrived near an islet in Kawthoung Township on the Andaman Sea. The ten seamen will be quarantined for 21 days and their lab samples have been sent to the National Health Laboratory. —Kyaw Soe (Kawthoung) (Translated by Zaw Htet Oo)
