114 Myanmar nationals fly back home from foreign countries by MAI relief flight

The Myanmar Airways International flew 114 citizens back home from foreign countries yesterday. The group of returnees included 1 from the Czech Republic, 1 from Hong Kong, 4 Canada, 1 from Egypt, 3 from Italy, 4 from Belgium, 3 from Viet Nam, 4 from Germany, 1 from South Africa, 4 from Switzerland, 5 from Brazil, 5 from Indonesia, 4 from Britain, 9 from the United States and 65 from the Republic of Korea.
The Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, the Ministry of Health and Sports and the Yangon Region government arranged 14-day quarantine at specific places or designated hotels, followed by the 7-day home quarantine. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has organized 24 relief flights from the ROK in collaboration with Myanmar embassies in foreign countries and local ministries concerned to bring back citizens stranded abroad due to the suspension of international commercial flights, in accordance with the guidance of the National-Level Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment of COVID-19.—MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
