11th ASEAN Military Operation Meeting held online

Chief of Staff (Army) Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun joins the online 11th ASEAN Military Operation Meeting on 10 March 2021.

The 11th ASEAN Military Operation Meeting was organized via video conferencing yesterday.

The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff (Army) Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, other military personnel, Brig-Gen Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abdul Kadir of Brunei, Maj-Gen Pen Sokrethvithyea of Cambodia, Maj-Gen Tiopan Aritonang of Indonesia, Brig-Gen Sonethong Keolokham of Laos, Maj-Gen Hashim bin Aman Shah of Malaysia, Maj-Gen Edgardo Y. De Leon of the Philippines, Brig-Gen Ho Kum Luem of Singapore, Lt-Gen Chitchanok Nujjaya of Thailand and Maj-Gen Nguyen Duc Can of Viet Nam.

During the meeting, Brig-Gen Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abdul Kadir of Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Chair of 11th AMOM, firstly delivered an opening speech.

The meeting exchanged views on the topic “We Care, We Prepare, We Prosper towards an Integrated ASEAN Military Cooperation”, including 2-year work plans of ASEAN armies and other matters.

Then, Brig-Gen Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abdul Kadir of Royal Brunei Armed Forces made the closing remark and handed over the Chairmanship of 12th AMOM to Maj-Gen Pen Sokrethvithyea of Cambodia.

Maj-Gen Pen Sokrethvithyea of Cambodia also made a greeting speech and concluded the meeting.—MNA
