11th ASEAN Tourism Resourcing, Monitoring and Evaluation Committee Meeting held online

Thailand hosted the 11th ASEAN Tourism Resourcing, Monitoring and Evaluation Committee Meeting (ATRMEC) via videoconferencing yesterday.
The meeting was attended by ASEAN Tourism Authority Heads, the delegations from ASEAN countries and ASEAN Secretary-General Office, Director-General for the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism and Leader of Myanmar Tourism Authority U Maung Maung Kyaw and other officials.
During the meeting, Director-General U Maung Maung Kyaw presented the completed operations under the supervision of the committee, the importance of statistics in drafting policies for monitoring in ASEAN tourism integration and future tourism plans, recommendations to prepare tourism statistics framework in 2021 based on the reviews of ASEAN Tourism Strategic Plan 2016-2025 and 2-year work plans based on ASEAN Tourism Strategic Plan 2016-2025.
The meeting also discussed the draft version of monitoring and indexes of implementation processes of ASEAN Tourism Strategic Plan 2016-2025, the budget status of ASEAN tourism authority in 2021, budget proposals for ASEAN tourism projects to be implemented in 2021, COVID-19 relief plans and cooperation works with relevant organizations for the development of ASEAN tourism sector.—MNA
