12th ASEAN Tourism Competitiveness Committee Meeting held online

The 12th ASEAN Tourism Competitiveness Committee Meeting-ATCC was hosted by Viet Nam via videoconferencing yesterday.
The Philippines, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam also presided over the meeting and the leaders of the ASEAN Tourism Authority, representatives of ASEAN member countries, the ASEAN Secretariat, ASEAN tourism marketing officers and representatives of the marketing agency and Director-General of the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism of Myanmar joined the meeting online.
The meeting discussed implementation of ASEAN Tourism Strategic Plan (2016-2025) by the respective leading countries in 2021, ASEAN Tourism Marketing Strategy (2021-2025), conditions for the implementation of certification programme according to the ASEAN Common Health and Safety Guidelines drafted for the safety of those who work in the hotels and tourism industry in ASEAN regions, ASEAN Tourism Recovery Plan to be conducted in the post-COVID-19 period together with ASEAN Tourism Strategic Plan (2016-2025), motions for new projects to be carried out in 2022, work plans for 2022-2023 and programmes to select the committee chairperson and vice-chairperson.
The other ASEAN Tourism Committee meetings will be held until 14 October.—MNA
