Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Moe Aung attends 15th ASEAN Navy Chiefs' Meeting online.

The Royal Brunei Navy hosted the 15th ASEAN Navy Chiefs’ Meeting via video conferencing yesterday. During the meeting, Brunei Navy Chief First Admiral Spry Bin Haji Serudi@Haji Seruji firstly made the opening remark.
The leaders then approved the meeting record of 14th ANCM. The ANCM Joint Secretary explained the regional maritime security affairs and the Navy Chiefs discussed under the topic called Blue Economy: “We care, We prepare, We prosper.”
During the meeting, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Moe Aung discussed the COVID-19 control activities under the leadership of government, regional maritime security and cooperation work for Blue Economy as an ASEAN member country.
Then, the ASEAN Navy Chiefs exchanged views on cooperation in maritime security measures, ASEAN Teamwork to ease the impact of COVID-19 pandemic in new normal and plans to implement Blue Economy concepts.
They also discussed outcomes of the ANTEEP Working Group meeting, the 4th International Maritime Security Symposium (IMSS-2021) and the 17th Western Pacific Naval Symposium (WPNS) including future work plans of the ASEAN Multilateral Naval Exercise (AMNEX) and ASEAN Navies.
The meeting also focused on the 16th ANCM to be organized in Indonesia in 2022, the 17th ANCM and the 2nd ASEAN Multilateral Naval Exercise (AMNEX) in the Philippines.—MNA
