Wushu, sepak takraw, badminton, tennis, volleyball, chess, football, and swimming contests were held yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw as part of the 19th ASEAN University Games.
In the Wushu (Jianshu-Qiangshu) Taolu Women’s competition, Malaysia’s Phoon Eyin secured the gold medal, Myanmar’s Sandi Oo took the silver, while Malaysia’s Pamg Pul Yee grabbed the bronze medal.
In Taolu Men’s Dulian competition, Thailand won gold, Myanmar got silver, and Malaysia secured the bronze medal.
In Taolu Women’s Dulian competition, Singapore won gold, Malaysia grabbed silver, and Myanmar secured the bronze medal.
In the Men’s double sepak takraw competition, Myanmar beat Indonesia with a 3:0 score.
In Women’s Singles Badminton, Thet Htar Thuzar (Myanmar) beat Grace Chua Hui Zhen (Singapore) by 2:0, while in Men’s Singles Badminton, Arkar Phone Myat (Myanmar) drubbed Kettya Keohay (Laos) 2:0.
In Women’s Doubles Tennis, Thailand won gold, Singapore garnered silver, and
Myanmar secured bronze, while in Mixed Doubles Tennis, Thailand secured gold, Singapore grabbed silver, and Myanmar grabbed the bronze medal.—Myo Thu Hein
