2 gas-fired power plants produce more electricity for national grid

The two gas-fired power plants in Yangon and Magway regions began generating electricity into national grid, as part of seven new projects with a total capacity of 1,166 MW.
The 151.54 MW project in Ahlon Township of Yangon and the 20.54 MW project in Kyunchaung of Pakokku Township, Magway Region are out of seven projects in Ahlon, Thanlyin, Thakayta, Magway, Kyunchaung, Shwetaung and Kyaukpyu townships.
The 66 MW power plant project in Magway has been generating electricity since 13 December 2019.
The Ministry of Electricity and Energy is working for completion of remaining projects. —MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
