The 20th anniversary of the Myanmar Computer Federation (MCF), Myanmar Computer Professionals Association (MCPA), Myanmar Computer Industry Association (MCIA) and Myanmar Computer Enthusiasts Association (MCEA) was held at MICT (Myanmar Information & Communication Technology) Park in Hlaing Township, Yangon yesterday morning. The event was attended by Union Minister for Transport and Communication U Thant Sin Maung, Deputy Minister U Tha Oo, chairpersons of the Myanmar computer associations, professors, teachers, students and invited guests.
At the event, MCF President U Khun Oo delivered the opening speech, while Union Minister for Transport and Communication U Thant Sin Maung spoke of the importance of ICT in the country’s economic development, requirement of the ICT associations country wide to put in the best efforts toward ICT sector development, working to ensure that the country does not fall behind in the mobile industry, while reaching a level of success within 20 years. Also, speakers urged computer associations, professionals and enthusiasts to work to ensure the best for ICT development.
Following this, MCF Patron U Thein Oo, U Tin Win Aung of MCIA, retired Computer University Professor Dr. Kyaw Thin, MCPA patron U Thaung Tin, MCF President U Khun Oo, MCPA chairman U Thaung Su Nyein, MCIA chairman U Tin Aung Khaing and MCF Secretary General U Zaw Min Oo discussed the 20th anniversary of the Myanmar computer associations. — Myanmar News Agency
