225-MW of electricity in Yangon to be temporarily reduced for 4 days

The Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation-YESC announced the maintenance and repair work of the Zawtika natural gas pipeline, which supplies gas to power plants in the Yangon region, will be carried out from 23 to 26 March.
During the process, power generators will be able to produce 225 megawatts of electricity less than normal. Therefore, hydroelectric power plants will supply the required electricity and YESC has said that it will have to reduce the workload if necessary. — TWA/MKKS
