23 YBS bus lines to change fare of 400 kyats

It is reported that fares will be changed on 23 YBS bus lines operating in Yangon.
The change in fares has been set by Yangon Urban Public Transportation (YUPT) and some bus lines have already started the rising fare.
Fares were set at a fixed price in the past, but currently, the fares are charged at 200 kyat per route, and 400 kyats will be charged for the whole journey.
Similarly, other bus lines fares such as YBS-2, YBS-3, YBS-4, YBS-7, YBS-8, YBS-10, YBS-11, YBS-24, YBS-26, YBS-28, YBS-29 (Dagon University-Sule), YBS-29 (Shwe Paukkan Bridge-Sule), YBS-36, YBS-40, YBS-59, YBS-65, YBS-84, YBS-110, YBS-111, YBS-112, YBS-114, YBS-115 and YBS-116 will be changed.
Passengers of these bus lines with a YPS card can board once. Passengers have to cut the card twice for getting on and getting off, and the fare is 200 kyats per section of the trip. At the start/end of the trip, they have to pay a fare of 380 kyats, officials said.—TWA/GNLM
