Myanmar Embassy in the Republic of Korea says it will help Myanmar nationals, who are in need of help in that country, for returning to the mother country and provide necessary assistances for their convenience before going back home.
After receiving contact from Seobu police station in Busan, the embassy has provided necessary assistances to a Myanmar national, Nan Lin and also tried to connect with his family in Myanmar at the same time, it said.
In a post on its social media page, the embassy requested Myanmar nationals in South Korea to help in confirming more detailed personal information of Nan Lin.
With the help of comments from Myanmar nationals who know him, it could get connection with Nan Lin’s family and also could take him to the embassy in Seoul from Busan on the morning of 2 September. The ambassador U Thant Sin received Nan Lin in his living room, consulted about his job, health and personal issues and advised him how he should have lived in South Korea as a Myanmar national.
The ambassador instructed consular officer and labour attaché on how the embassy would help him for returning his home in his will and he also provided him clothes and financial support. Before returning home, Nan Lin has been provided accommodation by the embassy for temporary stay in Seoul, it said.
