The three-day Thai Festival 2024, which is scheduled to be celebrated at Junction City in Yangon from 27-29 September, will also feature the Thai Film Festival, announced by the Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon.
Under the management of Discover Thailand’s Best, it will be the first Thai festival in Myanmar. Aiming to promote Thailand’s soft power and jointly organized by the Royal Thai Embassy, Thailand trade promotion, the Thai business community in Myanmar, the Thai Business Association of Myanmar, Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) and Shwe Taung Group, the festival will introduce Thai goods, services, foods, films, culture and songs.
During the event, three Thai movies, including How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies, which was shown in Myanmar, will be shown with free admission at Junction City’s J Cineplex. Movie tickets are available at www.thaifestivalmyanmar.com or can be watched on the Thai Festival on Myanmar Facebook and at the Royal Thai Embassy, Yangon https://youtube.com/ @royalthaiembassyyangon.
With 45 booths, Thai and Myanmar companies will exhibit Thai beauty and health products, textiles, travel and entertainment and Myanmar goods. Thai product showrooms at Junction City will give special promotions during the event.
Royal Thai Embassy will organize Thai traditional food cooking shows, Muay Thai and Thai traditional dance shows. As a unique programme, Myanmar actors Paing Takhon, Hein Thit, and Kira will participate along with Thai artistes Lula, Gun Napat, Palaphol, Sea-Keen, and Aun-Ashi.
