Generally, Myanmar’s painting and sculpture business slows during the three-month Buddhist Lent; however, gem art paintings are selling well, according to painting, sculpture, and traditional Myanmar artwork galleries.
Gem art paintings are affordable and suitable for giving as presents for shop openings and birthday ceremonies, and there are enthusiastic collectors as well.
Gems art paintings are created in different designs, but most of them are landscape, portrait and religious images.
“People order it for ceremonies, despite it being the three-month Lent. It is good for giving as presents. People like it very much. Orders mounted, too, six months ago. However, it is during the three-month Lent, and we still have orders. Over recent years, people have been interested in gem art paintings, and the number of buyers has also increased.
