Rice bags or cash are welcomed for flood victims, embassy announces

Those who want to help flood victims in Myanmar can donate rice bags or cash, Myanmar Embassy in Thailand announced.

Flood happened nationwide in Myanmar as an impact of Typhoon Yagi and Myanmar nationals in Thailand have made donation through Myanmar Embassy in Bangkok and the Consulate General in Chiang Mai, receiving 403 rice bags and cash 119,111 baht under statistics on 9 September, said the embassy.

Those who want to donate rice bag can pay 650 baht per a bag contains 24 pyi, it said.

For donating rice bag or cash, Myanmar nationals can contact the embassy’s consular officer Daw San Thit Yi’s number 06-2731- 3515 in Bangkok and first secretary Daw Naychi Win Swe’s number 094-945-0362 at the Consulate General in Chiang Mai.

All donated items will be delivered to the committee for providing aids for flood victim in Myanmar along with donors’ name list or company list, it said.
