Medical departments from the Pyinmana Sangha Hospital and the Myanma Railways have cooperated to provide free onsite medical treatment to areas affected by floods, according to the hospital superintendent Dr Than Min Htut.
In the donation trip on 17 September, 279 houses in Zeephyupin village, 110 houses in; Mankyilaypin village, 165 houses in Kanmyint village, 94 houses in Wartaw village, and 628 households in total, were supplied each with one pyi of rice, 50 ticals of oil, three packs of yum yum noodles, one pack of salt, a new set of clothes; a card of paracetamol, a packet of oral rehydration salt, a pack of candles, one match box, one bottle of drinking water, which are worth K 30000 each totaling K 18.84 million, he said on his Facebook page.
At the same time, a joint team of doctors from the Pyinmana Sangha Hospital and the medical department of the Myanma Railways settled in two villages and provided free medical treatment to 55 patients in Zeephyupin camp, 62 patients in Kanmyint village, and a total of 117 patients He also informed that the donors’ contributions have been directly delivered to the villages and in the next few days, they will continue similar programmes for Kalaw and Shwenyaung.
In the past few days, rice, salt, medicine, dry noodles, oral rehydration salt packs, candles, matches and cash were donated to 500 flood victims in Phaungtaw village, Tatkon township, and free medical treatment using public fund was provided to 86 patients.
