Cash, clothes, medicines, and food totalling more than K200 million have been received for flood relief donations from member garment factories, according to the Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association (MGMA) on 19 September.
With MGMA’s fund worth K20 million, donations will be made through the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) at flood-hit villages in Nay Pyi Taw.
Donations will include immediate assistance for basic needs, which are essentially needed in inundated villages.
MGMA urged its member factories to continue contributing to its flood relief donations called the ‘Giving Hand Donation Package’. — MT/ZS/Ed
