MAEX, Dagon Group to donate K500M for flood relief and rehabilitation

MAEX Public Co Ltd and Dagon Group were seen donating to flood victims on 19 September.

According to Myanmar Agro Exchange Public Ltd (MAEX), MAEX Public Co Ltd and Dagon Group will jointly contribute K500 million for the relief and rehabilitation of people affected by recent floods. It will be provided under the theme of “Extending Sympathetic Helping Hands Together 2024”. At 10 am on 19 September, as the first relief trip, they visited Kalaw. They provided basic needs such as rice, oil, medical aids, mosquito nets, blankets, pillows, clothes, drinking water bottles, toothpaste, canned fish, candles, vermicelli and noodle packs, and pots and pans to the victims.
Moreover, they managed to travel to 200 flood-hit households in villages from Inbyin, and Lwe-an village-tract in Kalaw and physically supplied the victims with rice, cooking oil bottles, mosquito nets, pillows, single blankets, twin blankets, warm clothes, garments, water bottles, toothpaste, sardine cans, candles, vermicelli and noodle packs, pots and pans, essential home-use medicines and bamboos. — MT/ZN/Ed
