25-bed hospital in Myebon to double its capacity

The Deputy Speaker of Amyotha Hluttaw U Aye Thar Aung, accompanied by officials from the office of the Amyotha Hluttaw and the township administrator, donated offertories to the monks from monasteries and Pariratti Sarthintaik in Myebon Township, Rakhine State on Monday.
The Amyotha Hluttaw deputy speaker then visited the 25-bed People’s Hospital, where he viewed patient rooms, delivery rooms and operation rooms. During a meeting with the medical staff, the deputy speaker called for construction of quality buildings using ministry-approved funds that would double the capacity of the hospital to 50 beds. The deputy speaker recounted his parliamentary experiences and replied to questions in meetings with the township administrator, township-level departmental officials, ward administrators and citizens at the town hall in the afternoon. The deputy speaker together with Pyithu Hluttaw representative U Sit Naing, the deputy commissioner, township administrators and the officials from the Amyotha Hluttaw office inspected the construction site of the 1,920-ft long Kyatsin Bridge Project that will link Minbya and Myebon Townships in Rakhine State. He was briefed about progress of the bridge by In-charge Deputy Director (Civil) U Thein Naing. The deputy speaker  called for timely completion of the project meeting the set standard, urging the officials concerned to compensate for the farmlands possessed by the farmers as soon as possible.—Myanmar News Agency
