The Department of Archaeology and National Museum in Magway Region has listed a total of 284 religious edifices in Yesagyo Township of Pakokku district for renovation. According to the procedures, we will submit the estimated cost and seek permission of Region Government to conduct inventory in the first stage of renovation. After receiving the permission, we will start renovation works,” said U Myint Thein, Deputy Director of Archaeology and National Museum (Magway). The department is currently conducting ground survey and conservation works to promote the local tourism industry and not to lose ancient heritages. —Zayyatu (Magway) (Translated by Khine Thazin Han)
