30th Monsoon Forum opens in Nay Pyi Taw

the opening ceremony of the 30th Monsoon Forum 2023 of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) was held in the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Nay Pyi Taw yesterday. Director-General Dr Kyaw Moe Oo of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology delivered the opening remark.
The workshop is focused on the reviewing and discussing seasonal outlook of Weather Forecast and Water Level Forecast for the 2022-2023 winter season, the condition of Agri meteorology and presenting on seasonal outlook of Weather Forecast and Water Level Forecast for the 2023 Southwest Monsoon Season and El Nino conditions, discussing sectorial preparedness using the forecasts for the 2023 Southwest Monsoon season. The closing remark was delivered by the DMH director-general.
The monsoon forum is held twice annually on a regular basis starting from 2007 and the current forum is the 30th forum. — DMH
