Myanmar delegation attends the 31st ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Socio-Cultural Community.

The 31st ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Socio-Cultural Community was held on the morning of 28 September with a video conference and was attended by a Myanmar delegation led by U Aung Myint, Director-General of the Department of Historical Research and National Library and Senior Officer of the Myanmar ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community, from Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, Nay Pyi Taw.
The meeting was chaired by a senior official of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community from Brunei Darussalam, which holds the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2021.
During the meeting, officials discussed the progress of the recommendations of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Road-map 2025 Annual Assessment Report, including strengthening the evaluation of the activities of the ASEAN Secretariat, Multi-sectoral cooperation, setting terms and conditions for holding meetings at the ASEAN Secretariat by the ASEAN Chairmanship, tips from the 1st Innovation Platform Dialogue on Youth Employment and Digital Technology Development, duties of Brunei Darussalam, which is implementing special priorities during its chairmanship of ASEAN in 2021, the declaration to link emergency response to natural disasters in the ASEAN region in line with (Bandar Seri Begawan Declaration), conditions for the continued implementation of the ASEAN Community Vision 2025 after 2025 and the terms of reference of senior officials.
Next, the ASEAN officials focused on the documents to be approved by the leaders during the 38th ASEAN Summit, 24th ASEAN Plus Three Summit and the 16th East Asia Summit. —MNA
