3rd batch of Myanmar sports team welcomed back

THE 3rd batch of the Myanmar sports team that participated in the 31st South-East Asian Games from 12 May to 23 May in Hanoi and other related cities of Viet Nam returned to the country on 20 May.
The team was welcomed back by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Yangon Command Commander Maj-Gen Nyunt Win Swe, other officials of the Yangon Region Government and officials of the Yangon Region Department of Sports and Physical Education under the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs at Yangon International Airport at 10:00 am.
The team consisted of the team leader Director-General of the Department of Sports and Physical Education under the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs U Tun Myint Oo with silver medal winners Khin Mar Hse (10,000-metre race) in Athletics, Zin May Htet in walking race, Nwe Ni Pwint Hlaing (-63kg) in Judo and Daisy Oo Juliet (-49kg) in Taekwondo.
Not only bronze medals winners Htwe Ko Ko, Tin Tin Wai and Kant Kaw Thant Zin in Petanque (Mixed Triple Competition), Zaw Lin Htet (-63kg), Htet Zaw Lin (-80kg) and Kyaw Min Naing (-87kg) in Taekwondo, Zin Mar Khaing (-65kg) and Hnin Thet Wai (-55kg) in Vovinam but also Aung Myo Naing (Double Men) in Sepak Takraw, Pyae Sone Hnin, Thidar Nwe and Yamin Thu (Recurve Women Team) in Archery were included in the team. Members of the management team, members of Kurash, Rowing, Petanque, Track & Field, Taekwondo, Archery, Shooting, Vovinam, Weightlifting, Judo, Sepak Takraw, Boxing, Billiards & Snooker sports and international referees returned to Myanmar.—MNA
