50 arms, ammunition seized in Namsang Township

The Tatmadaw is committed to maintaining peace and stability in the country and preventing terrorist attacks.
According to reports from some responsible people, weapons and ammunition were confiscated in Man Mai Mong Kwan Village, Namsang Township, northern Shan State for sale to terrorist groups in Magway, Mandalay and Sagaing regions.
At around 9:50 pm on 13 November, a Type-56 gun and a handgun were found in the house of U Soe Lwin (father’s name is U Sone Shwin Shwinn) in the village.
One K12, Three Type-81 guns, seven BA-63, four BA-94 rifles, 20 M22 magazines, 1,945 rounds of ammunition, 13 detonators and four strings for explosion were also found in the house.
At around 11 pm on the same day, over 50 kinds of ammunition equipment including 34 Type-56 rifles and 105 M22 magazines were also found in the horse stable of the house.

Tatmadaw troops are responsible for operations and regional security.
On 22 November 2019, 170 heavy and small arms, including an FN-6 shoulder-to-air missile, were recovered from Homin village, 7 kilometres north of Man Mai Mong Kwan village.
On the same day, related items were also identified and cleared thanks to the information provided by some ethnic people.
The Tatmadaw is committed to maintaining peace and stability in the country. The rule of law and the security of the people are being strengthened to prevent any acts of violence.
Tatmadaw requested the people to work with the security forces to bring peace and stability to the towns and villages as soon as possible. — MNA
