568th Ceremony held to offer cash donation to Shwedagon Pagoda, present certificates of honour

The Shwedagon Pagoda’s Board of Trustees conducted a 568th ceremony to offer cash donation and present certificates of appreciations to the donors in the old Buddha images hall of the southern stairway of the Shwedagon Pagoda’s platform yesterday.
At the ceremony, donors offered cash donations, and which was accepted by alternating chair and members and in return of the Board of Trustees presented certificates of appreciation to the donors.
The congregation took the Five Precepts from Trustee Board Ovadacariya State Sangha Maha Nayaka member, Agga Maha Panita Agga Maha Gandavasaka Panita, Yangon Region, Bahan Township Nyaungdon Pali Takkatho Monastery Sayadaw Bhaddanta Pawara Bivamsa, shared merit, listened to a sermon and concluded the ceremony. A total of 115 donors offered 119 gold plates and cash totaling more than K 967739650 million, it is learnt.
