6th coord meeting of Central Body for Summoning People’s Military Servants held

The sixth coordination meeting of the Central Body for Summoning People’s Military Servants is in progress yesterday, chaired by SAC Member Deputy PM MoD Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San.

State Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Defence Admiral Tin Aung San, in his capacity as Chairman of the Central Body for Summoning People’s Military Servants, attended the 6/2024 coordination meeting of the central body in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
At the meeting, he talked about the seventh draft version of the People’s Military Service Rule received after several discussions and suggestions from relevant ministries and work committees, the strict supervision not to summon those with disabilities, illegible persons and those exempted, suspended and relieved under the People’s Military Service Law, transport of trainees by aircraft, helicopters, vessels to respective training sites, and the needs to review the good points and weak points after opening Training 4.
Then, Vice-Chairman of the central body Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye also discussed exemption, relief and suspension of military training, and the central body members about public awareness programmes, advantages and weaknesses in summoning trainees and other matters.
In conclusion, the Admiral said the relevant ministries should cooperate with the work groups while the National Service Information Management System (NSIMS) is under implementation.
Training 5/2024 will be opened soon, and Nay Pyi Taw Council, region/state committees for summoning people’s military servants should make efforts in accordance with the procedures considering the previous strong and weak points. — MNA/KTZH
