76.9644 tonnes of illicit timbers impounded in Nay Pyi Taw, regions/states

The Forest Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation is using several ways and means comprising the community monitoring and reporting system (CMRS) to block illegal timber and forest products trading.
The data between 8 and 14 August from respective forest departments stated that the department confiscated a total of 76.9644 tonnes of illegal timbers – 52.4816 tonnes of teak, 15.944 tonnes of hardwood and 8.5388 tonnes of others, along with 40 suspects and 42 vehicles. — MNA
