
A total of 775 Myanmar migrant workers returned home through Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge (2) of Myawady border town in Kayin State yesterday.
Among them, the 198 came back home by cars, and 577 persons came back home in their own schedules from various parts of the kingdom with the approval of Myanmar embassy there. Myanmar has been making systematic arrangement for the return of migrant workers from Thailand since 1 May.
Kayin State Hluttaw MP U Thant Zin Aung, District Administrator U Tay Zar Aung, Deputy District Administrator U Aung Chan Nyein and other local authorities helped the returnees with medical tests and other supplies.
