7th Conference of the Committee for Coordination of Financial Sector Technical Assistance to Myanmar (COFTAM) was held at Hilton Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
The conference was co-chaired by Central Bank of Myanmar Deputy Governor U Soe Thein and International Monetary Fund Monetary and Capital Markets Department Division Chief Mr. Simon Gray.
The conference conducted detailed discussions on financial sector development that’ll support economic development of Myanmar and current challenges and technical support on work programs to resolve the challenges.
Similarly in the preliminary discussion held on 25 March eight work committees met separately and reviewed technical support and courses, designate priorities for future works, designate cooperation area to fulfill basic fundamentals, arranging programs for projects to be fulfilled by development partner organisations and reviewed project items.
The preliminary discussions made on 25 March were discussed and approved in the conference held yesterday.
