Attendees to 8th ceremony of paying tributes to fallen hero tatmadawmen release doves for ensuring perpetual peace in Nay Pyi Taw.

A ceremony to pay tributes to fallen Tatmadawmen who sacrificed life for the State in discharging duties of State security, rule of law and existence of sovereignty in successive eras took place at the Memorial to Fallen Heroes (Nay Pyi Taw) in Zeyathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area yesterday.
It was attended by Lt-Gen Than Tun Oo and Lt-Gen Myo Zaw Thein of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command Maj-Gen Zaw Hein, Chairman of Myanmar War Veterans Organization Central Executive Committee Lt-Gen Sein Win (Retd) and members, charity associations and Tatmadaw lovers.
They saluted the State flag, paid tributes to the fallen Tatmadawmen and recited four oaths. Then, they released hot-air balloons and doves for ensuring the perpetual peace. They also laid wreaths for the fallen Tatmadawmen.
Yesterday morning, dawn meals and alms were offered to members of the Sangha at Thadayon Monastery in Pobbathiri Township dedicating to the fallen Tatmadawmen and shared merits gained.
The ceremony was initiated by Yaungni Oo and friends Parahita group as of 2014. The ceremony took place at the Memorial to Fallen Hero in Yangon in previous years, and this year’s ceremony started at Memorial to Fallen Hero (Nay Pyi Taw).—MNA
