The Ministry of Energy will inspect over 900 petrol stations to make sure that the quality of fuel is correct after inspecting 345 stations to ensure compliance with quality standards and accurate measurements, according to the Petroleum Products Supervision and Inspection Department.
In carrying out this inspection, the department’s Mobile Fuel Lab vehicles made surprise checks at the 261 filling stations in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon Region and Mandalay Region during the 2023-2024 financial year.
The Petroleum Products Supervision and Inspection Department under the Ministry of Energy is responsible for the supply chain of petroleum products. The specification inspections will be carried out more effectively at petrol stations in relevant regions and states to ensure the continued development of a responsible supply chain for petroleum products and ensure compliance with quality standards and accurate measurements. — TWA/MKKS
