99th National Victory Day ceremony held in No 2 BEHS, Dagon

The ceremony of 99th National Victory Day was held at U Ba Lwin Hall of No 2 Basic Education High School, Dagon Township, Yangon yesterday morning.

Students from No 2 BEHS, Dagon sung ‘ Pyi Myanmar’ song. Before Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein read out the message of 99th National Victory Day sent by President U Win Myint.
This was followed by Union Minister for Education Dr Myo Thein Gyi’s speech.
Our National Victory Day has been celebrated all over Myanmar every year, and this year marks the 99th celebration. Students must be trained to be good citizens, 21st century’s skills development, all-round developed in harmony, preparing doing will in civil society and modern economic and coexistence in life.
Myanmar nationals must build the peaceful, all-round developed, Federal Democratic Union based on the essence of national unity of National Victory Day, he said.
U Tin Myint, alamnus of the school, delivered welcoming greeting speech.
Union Minister Dr Myo Thein Gyi presented awards to two students who passed with all distinctions in No2 BEHS, Dagon, in matriculation examination in 2019.
Daw Su Su Lwin, daughter of Sayagyi U Ba Lwin, awarded a scholarship to a student who got the highest marks in the exam.
Yangon Region Hluttaw Speaker U Tin Maung Tun presented awards to students won in essays writing contests. The last programme of ceremony, students from No2 BEHS, Dagon, sung ‘Zartimann’ song.—MNA
