Above 700,000 international tourists enter Myanmar in Jan-Aug 2023

From January to August 2023, 751,216 international tourists entered Myanmar, and most of them came through border entrances, according to the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.
A total of 558,199 foreign tourists visited Myanmar through border entrances within eight months, from January to August, and 193,017 international travellers were arriving by air.
The border entrances where the most international tourists enter Myanmar are the Myanmar-Thailand border entrance and the Myanmar-China border entrance.
It is known that most visitors came from China, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, and India this year, and Myanmar will soon grant tourist visas on arrival to Chinese and Indian tourists. — ASH/CT
