On 8 September, Academy Award-winning actor Khant Si Thu donated K300,000 towards the construction of a crematorium at Yadana Kanparni Cemetery in Taloutgon Village, Thaboung Township, Ayeyawady Region.
“There is a shortage of land at Yadana Kanparni Cemetery. Since there is no longer enough space for burials, building a crematorium has become essential. That’s why I contributed K300,000,” said Khant Si Thu.
Additionally, on 3 September, he also donated K300,000 to support the 104th Myanmar Film Day and the 47th Film Elders’ Respect-Paying Ceremony, which will take place on 13 October. — ASH/TRKM
