Adjust population with food supply for sufficiency

Articles

A country needs to have availability of adequate food volume, supply of foods at fair prices and distribution of healthy foods in implementing food security. If healthy foods can be sufficiently purchased at fair prices in a country, such a country can be identified as a food sufficient country.
The main challenges related to the food security of a country are a growing population with raising the food demand, changes in food prices, shortages or disappearance of crop varieties, effects of climate change, disadvantages of the scarcity of water and declining land areas for agriculture and livestock farms, waste and extinction of foods, and waste of the foods based on various reasons.
As the global population rose in past years with longer life expectancy, it is expected that the world’s population would reach eight billion in coming November 2022. Researchers and experts estimated that the figures for the world’s population would reach 8.5 billion in 2030, 9.73 billion in 2050 and 10.4 billion in 2100. Hence, the growing population should be calculated depending on the prospects of food sufficiency.
In fact, the population really affects the sufficiency of the food supply. Although many countries are operating agricultural businesses producing agricultural produce and livestock products to be supplied to the global population, their production cannot cover the growing population. Food production must be adjusted to the increasing population. Homeless and people in the poverty field are not still inclusive of food supply and do not enjoy the fruits of food security.

Food supply is crucial in the daily requirement for every person but clothing and accommodation. So, it is necessary to emphasize solving the food problem of global people. Food demand will be higher and higher together with a growing number of population day by day. Especially, basic staple foods such as rice and wheat, oil and oil crops, meat and meat products, milk and dairy products as well as crops will face remarkably high demand in societies.

In order to meet the demands, it is necessary to expand the cultivable lands under various kinds of crops and livestock farms. If so, farming products will cease the starvation and famine of human beings in society. On the other hand, all food producers and suppliers need to take care of food security for all humans to be free from the impacts and dangers of inappropriate food supplies.
