AFC U-23 Championship Qualifiers to be held from 23 October (today)

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-23 Championship Qualifiers will be held from 23 October to 2 November, according to the statement with the football confederation.
The 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualification is an international men’s under-23 football competition that decides the participating teams of the 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup.
A total of 16 teams will qualify to play in the final tournament, including Uzbekistan who qualified automatically as a host country.
The tournament has been divided into 11 groups and 39 teams will compete in the tourney. Myanmar team is included in Group I together with Viet Nam and China Taipei.
The teams in Group G and I will not be able to host the match, so it will be held in the intermediate country and Group I matches with the Myanmar team will be held in Kyrgyzstan.
Myanmar will take on China Taipei on 30 October and Viet Nam on 2 November.
According to the format of the tournament, a total of 15 teams, including the top 11 teams from each group, and the best four teams from second place will qualify to the final stage. — Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
