AFF Mitsubishi Cup 2024: Myanmar in Group B

The drawing-lots event for the ASEAN Football Federation-AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2024 Championship was held on 21 May in Hanoi, Viet Nam, and the Myanmar team fell into Group B.
The final stage will be held with a total of 10 teams divided into two groups of five. According to the fixtures, Group A sees defending champions Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Cambodia, while Group B features Viet Nam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar and Laos.
All 11 Southeast Asian countries will participate in the tournament, and the lowest-ranked Timorese team and Brunei team will play in the qualifiers, and only the winning team will be allowed to compete in the final stage.
The AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2024 Championship will be held in the same format as the last 2022 tournament. The participating teams will play four group games, including two home and two away matches. The tourney will run from 23 November to 21 December, and the qualifiers for the tourney will be played on 7 and 14 September. Team Myanmar is facing again with Viet Nam and Laos, which were placed in the same group as Myanmar in the 2022 version of the tourney.
The ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup Tournament is formerly named the Tiger Cup, ASEAN Championship and ASEAN Suzuki Cup Championship, respectively. Thailand has won the championship title seven times while Singapore has grabbed the title four times, Viet Nam two times and Malaysia one time.
