Nyaungshwe, 10 Feb — The systematic cultivation of summer paddy was demonstrated in Mongpyo Village-tract in Nyaungshwe Township, Shan State on 8 February, aimed at developing the agriculture sector and alleviating poverty of local farmers.
Head of Township Agriculture Department U Zaw Win Tun discussed enhancement of agriculture sector and good agriculture patterns adopted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation to the farmers. Staff of the department demonstrated nurturing of saplings on small dykes.
It was also attended by Shan State Hluttaw Representative U Aung Kyi Win, Head of Township Agriculture Department U Zaw Win Tun and over 100 local farmers. Nay Myo Thurein
