Aid provided to fire victims from Kyauktaw Mahamuni IDP camp

Rakhine State government and UNHCR have provided assistance to the fire victims from the Kyauktaw Mahamuni IDP camp in Rakhine State.
In the early morning of 9 May, a fire broke out in the Mahamuni evacuation camp in Kyauktaw Township, Rakhine State, leaving 1,073 people to be fire victims and destroying more than 260 houses.
Consequently, the Rakhine State government and UNHCR provided foodstuffs, aids and emergency relief supplies to the fire victims.
UNHCR Myanmar is working closely with various partners to carry out emergency response works.—TWA/GNLM
