Approximately 100,000 visitors throng Myathalun Pagoda in Magway

Over 100,000 visitors visited the Myathalun Pagoda in Magway on Thadingyut Full Moon Day which falls on 29 October.
Devotees donated 9,000 candles, 9,000 flowers and 9,000 scented candles to the pagoda and also participated in the lighting festival.
The 2587th Pagoda’s Festival is being held for 20 days as it was postponed last year due to COVID-19, according to a member of the pagoda’s trustee.
Food stalls, playgrounds and souvenir shops are seen at the festival which is crowded by the pilgrims and visitors. — Maung Maung(Minbu)/KZL
