Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win and officials inspected arrangements for visits of more domestic and foreign tourists to the Kanbawzathadi Palace in Bago yesterday morning.
Officials of the Department of Archeology and National Museum of Bago Region reported on the implementation of service sector and visits of travellers as officials are in charge of the entertainment sector for local and foreign travellers to enjoy a safe and peaceful holiday.
The Chief Minister of the region said that Kanbawzathadi Palace is a place of interest not only for locals but also for foreigners. Officials should link to Museum Pool, an international travel guide website to attract more tourists, he added.
The Chief Minister called for special attention to have cleanliness and to make arrangements to promote travel by inviting travel bloggers.
Kanbawzathadi Palace is a landmark in the Bago Archaeological Zone, covering an area of 64 acres, located near the southern archway of the magnificent Shwemawdaw Pagoda in Bago.
Nearly 200,000 foreign tourists and over 600,000 domestic travellers visit Kanbawzathadi Palace every year.
Now, in accordance with the rules of COVID-19, it is reopened daily from 9 am to 5:30 pm from 10 November, official said.—MNA
