The ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) will confirm whether the regular ASEAN Suzuki Cup will be held later this year.
The biennial ASEAN Suzuki Cup was initially scheduled to be held this year, but officials will make the final decision due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
The ASEAN football body is scheduled to host all the competitions this year, and the Suzuki Cup is likely to be held, officials said.
The football federation hosted the first ASEAN U-23 Championship this year in Cambodia from 14 to 26 February, and the ASEAN Futsal Championship will be held in Thailand in April.
After the competition, the ASEAN Youth Men’s and Women’s Championships will continue and the women’s national team competition will be held.
The Myanmar national team will compete in the third round of the 2023 Asian Cup and Suzuki Cup later this year.
The Myanmar squad has only reached the semi-finals twice in the Suzuki Cup and was eliminated from the group stage at the last ASEAN 2020 Suzuki Cup. — Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
