ASEAN Tourism Committee Meetings held

Brunei hosted the 13th ASEAN Tourism Resourcing, Monitoring and Evaluation Committee Meeting via videoconferencing yesterday.
The Philippines served as Chair at the meeting, while Director-General U Maung Maung Kyaw of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism was the Vice-Chair. It was also attended by the ASEAN Tourism Association leaders, ASEAN member countries, and the ASEAN Secretariat.
The meeting discussed the drafting of a monitoring and evaluation system on ASEAN tourism cooperation according to the workshop on monitoring and evaluation system under ASEAN Tourism Strategic Plan (2016-2025), budget status in 2022, the fund to be received by partner organizations for ASEAN tourism cooperation works and other matters.
The ASEAN Tourism Committee meetings and its associate meetings such as 13th ASEAN Competitiveness Committee meeting was held on 29 March while 27th ASEAN Tourism Professional Monitoring Committee Meeting on 30 March and 13th ASEAN Sustainable and Inclusive Tourism Development Committee Meeting on 31 March and discussed the implementations under the ASEAN Tourism Strategic Plan (2016-2025), ASEAN Tourism market promotion, mutual recognition of ASEAN tourism professionals and resumption of tourism in ASEAN member countries. — MNA
