Asian Games Men’s Football: Myanmar to play decisive match against India today

Myanmar men’s football team will take on a crucial match against the Indian team today for the next round of the XIX Asian Games men’s football event.
The final matches of the Group A will be played at the same time. Myanmar will fly in the face of India at 6:00 pm Myanmar Standard Time while host China will face Bangladesh at the same time.
At the end of the second day, the Chinese team advanced to the next round early with six points, while India and Myanmar shared three points each and Bangladesh had no points.
The Myanmar team has the same score and goal difference as the Indian team, but is in third place due to fewer goals scored. Therefore, only if the Myanmar team wins against India, they will be allowed to advance to the next round from second place in the group. In case of a draw or loss, Team Myanmar will have to watch the other group results for the best third-placed team.
The Men’s Football tourney is divided into six groups, but with only two teams in Group C, only five teams will have to compete for the four spots of the Best Third-placed Team, and the Myanmar team has a chance.
In the past, Myanmar has won two gold medals in the Asian Games football tournament and has a fabulous record as the only team in Southeast Asia to have won a gold medal.
