Former ONE Championship two-division Champion Aung La N Sang smashed through the Japanese MMA star Yushin Okami with a first-round technical knockout (TKO) in their middleweight class fight at the ONE 163 Event held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium yesterday night.
Even at the start of the fight, Okami tried to pin Aung La down but failed.
The second time, he failed in the same attempt, and while defending himself in a prone position on the floor, Okami was beaten by Aung La’s knees as well as continuous punches.
Finally, Myanmar’s fighter Aung La won by referee stoppage at 1:42 of the opening stanza.
It was a massive victory for Aung La N Sang, who previously lost three of his last four bouts.
The victory was more than enough to put a smile on the face of Myanmar’s MMA star.
Following his impressive first-round victory over Yushin ‘Thunder’ Okami at ONE 163, Aung La N Sang expressed his heartfelt thanks.
“Thankful for my team Kill Cliff FC. Thank you for all my support from Myanmar and thank you Singapore. I’m thankful for ONE Championship for giving us this platform.”
In the past two years, Aung La N Sang has handed over his two ONE Championship titles to Dutch fighter Reinier de Ridder.
