Aung La N Sang said in his interview with the ONE Championship that he would like to challenge two or three more fights of ONE Championship Middleweight or Light Heavyweight divisions this year.
After suffering a shock loss to Reinier De Ridder in the Light Heavyweight World title clash in the main event of ONE Championship TNT IV event on Thursday, Aung La has revealed his strong desires plus feeling ahead of his next ONE Championship’s journey.
“The damage is superficial, so I don’t need much time off. I’m healthy, and I’ll be back in training Monday. I want to do two or three more fights this year if ONE allows me to”, Aung La N Sang said. Aung La also gave messages to the people of Myanmar. “I need to work a little bit harder, put a little more time into the ground game. I don’t think I’m proud of my performance,” Aung La N Sang said. “I’m sorry I didn’t get the win. I’m really upset about that, but people, thank you for the support, thank you for love. Keep fighting, keep doing what’s right.
On the contrary, Aung La N Sang is hoping to regain his middleweight belt. “I’m done with a light heavyweight. I’m all middleweight now. I’m down to compete against anybody, but to be the best version of myself. I think middleweight is my home,” Aung La said.
“I think, stylistically, Brandon is a bad matchup for [Reinier]. I think he is biting off more than he can chew”, the former two-division ONE World Champion added.—GNLM
