Australian Foreign Minister observes development progress in Rakhine State

Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia and Senator The Honourable, Marise Payne, and her delegation met with ministers of Rakhine State government and observed Baw Du Phakal Camp in Sittway yesterday.
The Foreign Minister, and her delegation arrived by flight to Sittway Township at 3 pm where they were welcomed by Rakhine State ministers at Sittway Airport.
Rakhine State Minister for Security and Border Affairs Col. Phone Tint, Rakhine State Finance, Tax, Planning and Economic Minister U Kyaw Aye Thein, Rakhine State Minister for Social Affairs Dr. Chan Thar, Rakhine State Electric Power, Industry and Transportation Mine U Aung Kyaw Zan, Rakhine State Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry and Minerals U Kyaw Lwin, Rakhine State Advocate General U Kyaw Hla Tun and officials were present.
Afterwards, the Foreign Minister, and the party toured Baw Du Phakal Camp and observed the status of temporary basic education primary school in the camp and the livelihood of its residents, then officials of the camp provided necessary explanations.
The Foreign Minister and her delegation then met with the female residents of the camp at the women’s communal hall. The Australian Foreign Minister and delegation departed from Sittway to Yangon by flight at night.
