The handover ceremony of auxiliary bridge to the Ministry of Construction from Lancang government of China in progress online.

The auxiliary bridge was handed over to the Ministry of Construction from the Lancang government of China to be used during the construction of the new Kunlong Bridge over the Thanlwin River yesterday.
The bridge is 155 metres long with a withstanding capacity of 50-tonne weight and has been completed on 20 October 2021.
The auxiliary bridge handover ceremony was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Construction in Nay Pyi Taw virtually.
At the ceremony, Deputy Minister for Construction U Win Pe said that the flow of goods in both countries will be facilitated and the socioeconomic life will be developed when the construction of the new Kunlong Bridge is completed.
Then, Lancang People’s Government Committee Secretary Mr Zhang Zhizheng, U Thawda Aung from the Myanmar Consulate-General in Kunming and Economic Counselor Mr Tan Shufu from the Chinese Embassy gave speeches respectively.
Afterwards, officials signed a joint inspection record regarding the completion of the Kunlong Auxiliary Bridge as the executive deputy mayor of Lancang also spoke on the occasion and the deputy minister gave the concluding remark. —MNA
