Awareness campaigns conducted at three IDP camps in Namtu

Departmental officials, members of civil societies and volunteers joined awareness campaigns at the three camps of internally displaced persons in Namtu Township of Kyaukme district in northern Shan State yesterday.
Staff officers of the Information and Public Relations Department, the Social Welfare Department and the Disaster Management Department, together with the members of a civil society, shared knowledge on the preventive guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Sports.
The Disaster Management Department provided two cakes of soap and two face masks to each family of 129 households at the three IDP camps of Kyu Sot, Lisu and Kachin people, while the International Committee of the Red Cross distributed hand washing basin, buckets and soap cakes.—Lu Maw (IPRD) (Translated by Aung Khin)
